You won't see me on the evening news whining about starving to death waiting for .gov to come save my happy ass. I'm a prepper.
Disclaimer: Picture is not my actual storage area. Mine is not nearly that neat and organized, but those are my buckets. To the right would be the canned goods (mine, not the stores), and paper products (toilet paper and feminine hygiene is not a luxury, it is a necessity). As the weather gets better, I'll take pics of the actual Angel store room.
I'm also going to start a series on building a hoop greenhouse, greenhouse gardening with my Jebadiah Fisher Patriot seeds (God I'm so excited about that), and canning.

When I started stocking up what my wife previously had as "Earthquake Stuff" she didn't understand it at first, but now that we have a 3 month supply of everything including a big 1st aid kit, she understands what I'm trying to do.
Angry and I talked about this and I'm starting to believe with 3 kids I need to start....
dt2, if there's anything I can do to help you get going, just ask.
We also have about two to four weeks of food, fuel, supplies, etc. for when chit hits the fan...
However we have to do more...

Impressive stash. Do you have a mill? Need a mill to grind the corn to make grits. ;-)
The mill was actually a serious question. Seems like the decent ones are $400 to $1000. I read that cheaper ones only make you wish for a better one. Any advise? With a mill I might add wheat to the stores.
We have an impressive first aid and meds stash. It helps having a professional around. I don't know how to use all of it but I never scrubbed for surgery. "go ahead and close for me". and if you ever get hit with a poison dart or arrow she can bring you right out of it with some magic med. learned that in recovery. all that and red hair too. I am a lucky man.
We also carry Quik Clot and 4x4 bandages in the range bag. Just in case...

Nice grain mill. We don't have one, but then I haven't bought bulk grain, either.
One those plastic buckets....the web page says the tops are not gasketed or liquid tight.
How do you seal yours? Our stuff has to get stored in the garage, so it's essential that the lids be sealed really well.
That's weird, when we bought ours they were gasketed. But it's been almost 7 years. I'll try to find a better deal and post it. I liked them because they were square and you didn't lose storage space.
Oh, yeah....the square ones are definitely nicer to have.
All of our Mountain House stuff came in square ones, and they stack nicely.
If we lived out in the country we'd definitely have bulk grains and a mill, but here in the city, it's just more convenient to have freeze-dried and other wet-pack items.
What do you guys do for water storage? We've got a bunch of bottled water, some "aqua blox" packs, and a couple of 25 gallon "kegs". I empty, flush, and refill the kegs twice a year, and I have a couple of water purification filters that wirecutter recommended.
I use the ones from Emergency Essentials with the gamma lids on the ones I get into frequently when rotating, like coffee, pasta, sugar. Do loose a little with them being round.
I also use some O2 absorbers and a dry ice purge. But I don't have as much stored as our hostess.
Garage too hot here. I have them stashed in closets under the hanging clothes. Well, in the closets that don't have ammo cans and spam cans filling them up. Damn hot and humid here but not as hot as Texas.

We have 5-gallon bottles, cases of gallon bottles, and I like the idea of the 25-gallon kegs. We also have a well with a hand-pump option.
WC told me about the water systems and I forgot all about them. Maybe he'll take pity on me and tell me again.
I store some bottled water but worry amount the gal size leaking after a couple of years, so I rotate them. The five gal bottles seem heavier duty plastic. Has anyone had a problem with them? How long before you rotate the 5 gal out? I have been thinking of adding some to the stores.
I also have a big berkeley filter. Read last week where they might not be the best out there. :-(
The main storage is the pool - over 10K gallons but I will have to filter it. I stay stocked up with dry clorine but I figure without the pump and filter running it is going to be a challenge. Anyone have any experience with cisterns?

Nice! We're having to rework the prepping stuff since two of the offspring are lactose intolerant Celiacs. It really messes things up when you find out your game plan is totally shot and there is no way in Hades you would/are going to rely on anyone official so you are now at square one again. Not to mention it all costs about 5x more than normal foods do. Ugh.
We are finally at a point where it is starting to look like we have some decent prep. No where near what we were at, but not shabby at all for being less than 18 months into the diet change things.

If you decide to get bulk gasoline, do anything you can to avoid the crap with corn ethanol added - it doesn't keep well, even with something like Sta-Bil added. The only thing the biofuel is good for would be starting up the bonfires of politicians and government bureaucrats.
While your preps are commendable, one thing to keep in mind when posting something like this is when TSHTF, there are some people that will remember this and start getting crazy ideas about where they may be able to obtain some food. That's also enough to get you on a .gov list.
