I'm starting to have my doubts as to the fact that you actually live in Texas! It's one of the few states I've never been to, and I have always been under the impression that it was warm there. I thought maybe in some rare, freakish situation you might get a skiff of snow, but the pics you have posted don't fit that model!
Oh come on! the North Pole is not in Oklahoma, I grew up, or rather spent the first ninteen years of my life in Minnesota. I have had a snowball fight on the fourth of July, even though the powers that bee claim it has never snowed in July there. And even though she is not here to take the blame, I must say, Mom started it. Look on the bright(er) side, in North Dakota, summer is an official state holiday, and if it lands on a Friday or Monday, you get to celebrate for the entire weekend!

And to think that if I had my way I'd be moving to Idaho if I could get past immigration (it seems that you're not welcome if you won't vote democRat and/or insist on working for a living).
It wasn't so much the snow, Miss V, as the 75-mph wind gusts, the 5-ft drift separating the bare driveway from the road to freedom, and being stuck in the house with a bitchy hubby and two cranky teens.
Yeah, the wind is a bitch. That is ONE thing about WYO I don't miss, because the wind blows there 24/7.
The wind has been mild here this winter, which is NOT the norm and the drifts we usually get are bad, especially in the farmed areas. In some places they stack two reflector posts on top of each other because the snow will drift so badly on the roads in some places. In WYO there were snow fences along the roads, but here they don't use them because they get in the way of moving all the giganic farm equipment. Which if they didn't farm right up to the black top wouldn't be a problem...all in all, we haven't had too bad of a winter this year. We're moving to our Idaho property this summer, which means next winter will probably be a bitch! Guess who will be in charge of snow removel? Yep, me. ;) Miss Violet Miss Violet
