What's your style?

I've always been an empty lung shooter. I can't focus if I'm holding even a little bit of breath. So what's your style?

Empty lung for me. I need that respiratory pause to steady my sight picture.

Empty lung is now conventional wisdom. It was not too long ago that "half full" was what was taught.

Empty lung... Way I learned...

I taught myself the half full lung method after reading about it about in my teen years. I'll give the empty lung technique next spring at the range.

Chug, scratch myself, burp, maybe release some gas, blindly fire, fall out of my stand...yup....that's why I hunt alone...

Just kidding, I never pass gas in my stand.

Your graph made my eyes cross and gave me a headache.

Darlin', it's okay to say "fart" on my blog. Really.

Angel eyes, you put lingerie on your dog, I don't think my chart is the problem.

Breathe relax Aim Slack Squeeze. I was taught exhale, then shoot. Whether you do it on a half empty, or completely empty lung is your option. I let most of it out, but not dry. The motion generated by recoil is a natural one for inhaling.

And if you ever have to hit someone, time it to hit them as they inhale. ;)

Lingerie....dog.....PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!

Empty lunger myself.

Depends. If it's a difficult shot and I have the time to aim precisely I inhale, let half or so of it out, align sights and squeeze.

If it's defensive pistol at close range keep breathing. You need the oxygen.

Go bang at almost the end of the exhale, that's when things seem steadiest for me.
