That is why I really liked Sarah Palin (before I knew of facts that later came to light). She KNEW she was pregnant that her child would be born with birth defects and COULD have elected to had an abortion. She KNEW the challenges that would be faced, having a relative with a special needs child. Many would have chosen to have the procedure and save themselves some grief.

She didn't - she CHOSE to keep that child and that to me speaks volumes. Its not an easy road but the love of having that child in their lives. I'm sure you've heard or read the sentiment - GOD THOUGHT YOU WERE STRONG ENOUGH TO RAISE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD AND YOU WERE SO BLESSED.

Those families with a special needs child understand that. The people who think a child can be discarded in a trash can wonder why people can treat each other so cruelly.

Because THEY taught them that. Yep, Steinhem is a hypocrite.
