But but.... The business plan said they were unsinkable.... There is a place on 14th st in DC by that name,but I don't think it is a photo of that one..
There's a Thai carry-out place just up the street from my house. Opened by a Thai family a little over 20 years ago, it became a favorite of my family and our best friends. One Saturday, my friend Bob and I went to pick up our food and were surprised to not see the usual faces behind the counter. It seems that the Thais had sold the place to an African-American couple and retired. Bob then turns to me and says (BTW, this is true: if I was making it up, I'd give myself the credit for this), "It's been a long time since I was at a black Thai dinner." Bob still limps a little. ;)
