Four years ago, almost five, holy shitsnacks almost five????, anyway when I started this blog, I was all about the exercising and strength training and toning and hot, sexy bodies. But I was younger then. And dumber. It seems 50 was the border; once I crossed it, everything changed. I wasn't fat, I was "grandmotherly"; AARP started sending me shit and none of it was exercise related; I got lunch at Dairy Queen last week on Taco Tuesday and the little teenybopper behind the register gave me a Senior discount. Without asking me.
Fuck it, I'm going with the flow and the flow isn't going anywhere near a gym.

The 50's are supposed to wonderful....BS
i lost my father, mother, watched for two years as my wife died from a brain tumor, family obligations forced me to give up a very lucrative career in the nuclear industry, crawled inside a bottle and barely made it out before I died.
The 50's? Phuk'em. I ain't 60, yet but I'd take a discounted taco...if I could eat one.
I've been called "Old man" 3 times recently.
Told one "If you want to live to be my age watch your mouth."
I'm mid 40's. The other day the teller at the drug store asked to see my ID. When i asked why, she said to make sure i was eligible for the seniors discount.

50's were ok...60's find me with everything falling apart ( replaced shoulder, replaced knee, wrists consumed with arthritis)..BUT, at this age all the sweet young things think it is cute for me to hug em and pat em on the butt, cause I am "toothless, fangless and harmless"...heh, heh,heh.....

I really need to have a talk with those "sweet young things."
I'm mid 50's and need to get in better shape. I'm about 40 pounds north of what I consider 'okay'. I lost about 30 after I had heart valve replacement and felt great - getting out of wife's car, I noticed my knee did not hurt so much. It's not sweets that get me - its carbs. I eat too much bread. If I cut that out, I'd probably shed those extra pounds.
Wise Angel One, perhaps we need to have a talk before you destroy my strategic advantage.....
