I've been exposed to project management, technical writing, and user experience.
By far, my favorite and the one I'm best at is UX.
I can see the practicality and necessity of UX for just
about every business endeavor.
I think I've found my niche.

Part of my job is slapping down the project managers.
I'm thinking of getting a luiville slugger for the slow learners.

I heard tell of a university ages ago that built all of the buildings, but put in no sidewalks. After a semester of students and staff using the campus, they paved over the areas where people actually walked.
But then, I think this was a story off of the internet, so...
yes, you have...and there are projects (and managers) who need you desperately!!

Anon 5:34 - that sounds like an excellent strategy to doing it right. That sidewalk above should have been a 4 corned 'box' with the sides configured like the path shows. Easier to keep sprinklered too, to small a space and the 'green stuff' doesn't have enough space to take root. What results is exposed soil.
Anon 5:32. My first college (U of Richmond) did that when they put in some new dorms. That was back in '73. Seems they were following advice from such a study as you quote. Hope the time frame helps.
anon @ 5:34 Schoolcraft community college in Mich. did it in 69.
