Hence the saying "old age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill" was created for very valid reasons..............;-)

Right up there with "The way to become an Old Person is not to screw with Old Persons while you're young."

In Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, there is a favorite character called Cohen the Barbarian. He describes him as the most dangerous man anywhere, in spite of being a 90 plus year old Conan like character, who's constantly losing his teeth forgetting where he is et cetera. When asked what are the best things in life, he replies, "hot water, good dentishtry and shoft lavatory paper." When someone inquires how this old wreck of a man be dangerous, the author points out that he is an extraordinary old person in an unbelievably dangerous field. Get it?

Pratchett also said of Cohen the Barbarian -
“If complete and utter chaos was lightning, then he'd be the sort
to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour
and shouting 'All gods are bastards!”

I've known a few people that fit that description.

Wow. So they really did have cameras back in Wirecutter's somewhat younger days 800 years ago.

Heathen, that was Rincewind, talking about Twoflower.

And previous Anonymous, he got himself a set of dentures made out of trolls' teeth. AKA diamonds.

Genghis Cohen is his real name. I've got to re-read some of those early Discworld novels.
