A Lost Treasure

So, this pops up in my inbox this afternoon. I click on the link and am utterly charmed.
Meet Hilda.

What an utterly charming, bodaciously built American icon. There's a wonderful story HERE with even more beautiful illustration. Duane Bryers, the artist, was truly talented.

Thank you TerryM, aka Legends, you truly brightened my day. :-)

How can you NOT love Hilda? There's a girl a fellow could spend some time with.

Bryers must have had a vision of Angel, since she's too young to have modeled for this character...

I loved Hilda so much as a child that I grew up and married a girl very much like her. Still Married 27 years later so I must have got it right. ---Ray

Here--have a blog award, if you're still feeling down (details at the anti-soma). And cheer up--the twiggy girls will end up not so pretty when the new's worn off...and they're really working hard at wearing the new off at the campus where I teach. :-/
