From North Dakota....

I just freakin' love their state motto, "Liberty and Union Now and Forever, One and Inseparable". Doesn't that rock? And it looks like their state legislature, currently in session, is embracing it honestly.

Two bills filed Monday by a Fargo lawmaker relating to gun and ammunition restrictions have been withdrawn less than 24 hours after being introduced, citing lack of support within his party’s caucus.

Rep. Steven Zaiser, D-Fargo, pulled House Bills 1415 and 1416 Tuesday after he had filed them Monday.

HB1415 would have banned sales of certain semiautomatic rifles after July 31, 2013. HB1416 would have banned clips of ammunition that hold more than 10 rounds for those who aren’t members of law enforcement, the military or North Dakota National Guard. The ammunition ban had the same date of implementation. The proposed penalty for either bill would have been a Class B misdemeanor.

Glad to know those bills were pulled. I live in ND, and I love seeing my state go against most everything Obama is for.
