Quick Update on Life

I'm still alive. Marginally.
Test #2 was an 83.5. Better, but still not great.
I'm battling allergies from hell. We swing from cold and wet to
warm and dry, everything is pollinating,
the cotton is being ginned just a few miles up the road.
You don't dust dust off your furniture, you wipe up cotton fibers.
It would appear I'm highly allergic to cotton dust.
I can wear it all day, but I can't inhale it for shit.
Living on Nasonex, Claritin, and getting a Depo Medrol shot tomorrow.
So that's the scoop.
Oh, and my word was "last".

I feel so out of place. My word was lust.

My first flash was list, but changed to lost. I don't feel lost but that's what popped up. Interesting Grasshopper.
Bummer on the grade.
Either you have a Prick for a teacher that you have threatened in some unknown way and you are being given shit grades to punish you for who the hell knows what.
Or, you are crap at this course. I refuse to accept that you being crap at anything.
Solution; Work out how to solve this dilemma.
The teacher is already a loser as he hasn't tapped into your awesome ability.
We miss you when you are struggling with this.

Keeping concentration going while sick is the pits. I hope you feel better soon. Yes, we miss your posts, but you have priorities - those take precedence.

"Lost". Pretty much nails it.

Oh, and allergies suck royal gopher balls.

Hang tough, kiddo. In a couple of years, nobody will give a flying f--k what your grades were on those tests. Head down, drive on.

Mine was lost, then list, last and even lest popped into my mind.

Like loaded4bear said, in a few years nobody will give a FF what your grades on that specific test were. They'll ask for a sample of your writing, if that. I tested out of college English by virtue of having been published a handful of times in (paper - this was the early '80s) electronics hobby magazines. They asked for a sample, unedited manuscript which I had.

I'm also allergic to everything that is now, or once was, alive. After getting the ~5 year series of shots, twice, I live on Zyrtec, fluticasone and regular use of a fire hose to wash out my sinuses. If it's low allergy seasons, I can get by without the Zyrtec.

You're all lying; the word was "lust."

"Lost," followed immediately by "lust," and I couldn't even think of any other words.

No Lie, I didn't add a vowel. I saw it as Landing Ship, Tank.

Come to Maine. We have Allens Coffee Brandy. It may not actually fix much but who cares. The snow, fog, and rain keep most of the allergens washed down. Only a few days in summer that we have pollen season so that;s not too bad. Most everyone has a shooting range in their back yard. Maine, the way life should be.

It was Lost for me, but I just came from IMDB. So TV and movies were on my mind.

Zyrtec does it for me, but getting rid of the black wattle tree from next door helped a lot. Sugar Cane bloom and Mango blossoms also give my runny nose and eyes a fit. Two boxes of tissues on a bad day.
I wasn't sure if you had that brand where you live so didn't mention it.

Winston Smith, we have an LST here in my city in MI. One of only two left in original configuration. Pretty neat. Restored, they actually show outdoor movies on it in the summer.

Even at 70+, it's Lust.

pigpen51, can you say where the LST is? I'd like to visit it.
we have family in central MI and vacation there often. visited the Silversides on the last trip up.

Have a quiet talk with your instructor. Tell him (her?) that giving you a better grade would be much easier on them than being stalked by an armed red-head with PMS who kinda digs that part of the qur'an that says "and smite them on their necks". Maybe bring an old lawnmower blade to class with you. A dull one. Sit there filing on one edge during the lecture.

(Yes, I am getting counseling.)
