I have been a supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital for several decades now. I also donate to the Shriner's Hospital and a couple of others. Kids have a special place in my heart; and anything I can do to help those who have devoted their lives to helping kids, I'll do gladly. Now, thanks to ObamaCare, charitable hospitals will have to jump through extraordinarily small hoops in order to keep their non-profit status. If they lose that status and are deemed "for profit", they face huge tax burdens and fines, reducing the revenue that could go to treating patients. Less revenue for treating patients means fewer patients get treated (rationing, anyone?), but the tax money collected would go to "insure" more uninsured (illegals, anyone?).
So the Obamabots are claiming a balanced "win" with this provision. As Harry Reid once claimed, "Why should we care about one kid with cancer?" Socialist scum-sucking douchecanoes.

Well, you know, those big hospitals are obviously just hoarding their money and not letting the government have their "fair share". I mean, why not take their money when all those sick kids might not even grow to taxpaying age and therefore be eligible for the theft of most of their salary?
Honestly? If I find a doc going behind the back of Big Daddy Gov so they can truly HELP people, I'll funnel supplies his/her way all day long to save them the expense.
