Bubba the Computer Guru called this morning to tell me he had a loaner laptop (somehow that sounds dirty) for me if I wanted it. I was there before he could hang up the phone. I hadn't realized how addicted I am to my laptop, to blogging, to checking in with all y'all and making sure everybody is healthy and happy. It's only been a couple of days and I was jonesing.
So he hands me this little laptop, a brand I'd never heard of, and looks at me with tears in his eyes.
"She's just a baby, Leslie, she's not up to the kind of shit you get into, don't abuse her, don't push her, and for God's sake, DON'T FUCK HER UP!!!"
"Bubba, you don't have to do this..."
"No, no, it's okay, just try not to get into too much trouble...."
"I promise, Bubba, no more wild midget porn..."
He snorted coffee through his nose. I love my life.
