We've all seen the news stories out of Texas heralding an apparent quiet victory of the Left over the state of Texas. We've seen the outrageous stories of indoctrination by the left's minions from the TEA and socialist teachers in our public schools. One thing is common in all of these stories: they all take place in the Unholy Four urban areas of Dallas/Houston/Austin/San Antonio. These were all bluer than blue in the last election; bastions of socialism and the urban malaise that is choking the life out of this country. What these stories DON'T take into consideration are all of the hardcore True Texans still living and breathing the principles that carved this state, this Republic of Texas, out of the wilderness. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THIS.
What we're hearing is all the squawking and preening of the Left over their accomplishments. What you aren't hearing is the quiet prepping of Texans who have decided to reclaim Texas. What you aren't seeing is hundreds of thousands of "rednecks, hicks, knuckledraggers, and cavemen" who refuse to bend anymore. Texans are by nature Libertarians. You do what you need to do, and leave us alone to do what we need to do. Aggression is only against aggressors. Like the rattlesnake on the Gadsden flag, we're happy to live quietly in peace; but don't mistake our meekness for weakness. We will strike back. Swiftly, surely, and without mercy. Texas will go to the Socialists over my dead body. Period.

Just remember no matter how in agreement the area you live in is, we need to be constantly recruiting and organising(the other side does in places like Oakland and Boston).
If the Repubicans had nominated someone who would have just gotten the 4 million more people who voted for Palin and prayed for McCain to have a heart attack, yet who stayed home for lack of enough of a difference between Barry and Mittens, to the polls this last time Barry wouldn't still be in the Whitehouse.
Absolutely, Odysseus. Reach out, wake 'em up, educate them, motivate them. Don't take anything for granted. Just because a person is Hispanic, don't assume they're naturally Democratic. Just because they are black (politically incorrect on purpose), or women, or gay or any of the other "assumed" supporters of the Democratic party, don't write them off. That's how we lose minds to the Left. Talk to everyone. Especially the Dems' favorite useful idiot: the low information voter. Inform them.
O, there was an analysis of some detailed exit poll data that showed white northern males cost the R's the election. If I can find it again I will post it.

How did "black" get to be politically incorrect? I point out to friends that there are very few African-Americans in Africa or Europe. Sometimes they argue with me.
Because in our fear of being labeled something we all know we are NOT by people who seek to margnalize us, we allowed the LEFT to control the dialog and the vocabulary. I'm a freaking woman, not a testosterone-challenged American. I'm not a European-American, I'm an American. I refuse to hyphenate for the Left's comfort.
You could go the hyper hyphenated route and call yourself a glow-in-the-dark-Texican-American. See if there's a box to check on a government form for that. You redheads need a better lobbying firm.

To hear real Confederates give the Rebel Yell was a bloodcurdling sound. Richard Bales group's rendering of this is like a lullaby in comparison. To hear our own valiant, brave soldiers made us want to pick up a gun and kill the first Yankee in sight.
I believe that the left is screwing themselves over once again with this gun control thingy. They fail to understand that there are many of us old school conservative Democrats which now call ourselves Libertarians. This will swing that majority back to the Republican side.

SW was talking to a friend and made the comment about me being black Irish. Said friend said "I didn't know you were married to a black man". Some true things are funnier than anything you can make up.
