True Story: Classmate's family history included whalers. On his mantle was a narwhal tusk in a nice wooden bracket. All the children were told the family were "The Keepers Of The Unicorns." Sooner or later, one by one, the children would learn of narwhals and ask Mom and Dad. "Shush! You're now an adult. Don't ruin it for the youngsters."
Of course there was his 23 year old sister. SHE still believed.

and whoever started the aphrodisiac story about rhino horns is causing them to soon be mythical creatures as well.....

The narwhal spiral is actually a tooth. The rhino horn is made of keratin, like fingernails. So the Vietnamese who consume ground up rhino horn are basically chewing fingernails.
