6 Primitive traps and snares for catching dinner

I'm about lost as a hunter, I'm more of a gatherer and planter. But there needs to be meat on the table, and here's some traps and snares that can help. I actually see a couple of these being adapted for perimeter security.

Good to know this stuff - particularly techniques that work in your specific area. Squirrel poles work really good here, for example, but they aren't too useful where ther aren't trees. Opsec is important too, btw. Key too success is practice and putting out LOTS of traps. In non emergency situations, though, snares and traps may be illegal to take game.

Another very effective bird trap is a wooden dowel very loosely wrapped with monofilament fishing line. The line snags the feet of the birds when they perch on it. Very effective when placed above a watering or feeding spot - they land on it to check for predators before they land.

Very indiscriminate bird catcher so be very careful where you use it.
