Prom 2014

T minus 7 days and counting.

The girls had the day off from school (yet another built in snow day we didn't need to use, because, duh, it doesn't snow in the fucking desert), so we went to the big city and picked up the Teen Queen's prom dress after alterations, along with all the necessary whoo-haws and doo-daws that go with it. We have bejeweled hair clips and necklace, a sparkley shawl, and......get this...... her choice, not mine..... hot pink bejeweled flip flops. She picked them out and gave me that, "You said 'pick what I want,' I want these" look. So, rolling my eyes, and hoping she'd hate them, we went into the dressing room to put it all together. And son of a gun, she's adorable. The dress is a chiffon high-low hemline with a  haltertop neck and beading below the bustline.
With the high-low wrap skirt, the flip-flops looked absolutely perfect and so much more comfortable than heels.

After shopping and Chinese buffet, took them to the WTAMU pool for a couple of hours of exhaustion. They're reinvigorated, I'm toast.

Pictures may be forthcoming.
