Best way to do that is to have a small boat, few passengers, and don't be afraid to throw some idiot overboard.

My problems (and these drive wirecutter nuts) are that I try to see the good in everyone, I give too many second chances, and I'm not mean enough when I tell someone who's betrayed me to fuck off.

I'm working on the "wiser" part of wiserangel.

Hey, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt too. Sometimes though, you have to cut bait and walk away. It's tough. You don't always have to tell someone to f-off, whacking them upside the head with your hand or a baseball bay works too! ;)
