The hospital physiotherapists made my mother wear a helmet like that during exercise after her first cancer surgery. Her balance was all messed up, and she was susceptible to dizzy spells as she moved from machine to machine. There was logic behind it, but it sure looked funny. Her's was bright pink with a "Caution: Heavy Load" sticker.
